Survey Says...Fitness

1. What did you eat for breakfast?
I was running late, so I bought an egg and sausage sandwich from the coffee shop near where I work and ate it without the bread. Also, coffee (does that even need to be said?).

2. How much water do you drink a day?
I'm not really sure, but at least 40 oz. I've been making more of an effort to drink water lately since I drink so much coffee.

3. What is your current favorite workout?
Weight lifting and going out and about with my dog.

4. How many calories do you eat a day?
I don't really count calories. If I feel like I am am getting off track with my eating habits, then I will hop on the MyFitnessPal app. and count for a few days, just so I have a better idea of what I am consuming.

5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
Rice cakes and peanut butter, apples and peanut butter, green smoothies or juices. Also, peanut butter.

6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
90% of the time it is leftovers from dinner the night before. The other 10% is probably a salad or sandwich.

7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
Legs, because it's the part of my body that needs the most work.

8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
Abs

9. What are your “bad” food cravings?
I don't really believe that food is “good” or “bad.” Food can be nutritious, or lacking nutrition, really. Speaking of foods that are not very nutritious, I usually crave french fries and froyo.

10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
No, but I really should!

11. How often do you eat out?
Hmm, I would say in general, Chris (my Husband) and I usually eat out on Fridays and Saturdays. Thank God Chris loves to cook, so we usually have awesome breakfasts before work in the morning, and even more amazing dinners.

12. Do you eat fast food?
It all depends on what you would consider fast food. I don't eat at McDonalds and the like, but I will eat at Chipotle, Panera, and Starbucks.

13. Who is your biggest supporter?
Chris! He is always encouraging to be my best, and is there to pick me up when I am down. Case in point- I really want to go back to fencing and keep talking about it- Chris keeps reminding me about it so hopefully I start back in the next week or so.

14. Do you have a gym membership?
Yes, I belong to Gold's Gym. We got lucky and a brand new one opened up less than five minutes from our house.

15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
Ugh, never enough! I am well aware that getting enough sleep is part of a healthy lifestyle. However, I am a night owl which causes me to say up way past my bed time. Then it is impossible to get up in the morning. The struggle is real.

16. Do you have a “cheat” day?
Not really. I usually eat well during the week, and then let myself have a bit more leeway on the weekend.

17. Do you drink alcohol?
Yes! (gasp!) I don't drink all that often, but I do love me some beer, wine, and dark rum.

I have two. Chris and my dog Ripley.

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?
Of course the physical improvements cannot be denied. Less sluggish, better skin, less bloating. But the empowerment from becoming physically stronger is equally as uplifting.
In addition to all of that, I think that the passion for other helping other people on their paths to becoming healthier has greatly impacted the course of my life. So much so that I am back in school pursuing a degree in Nutrition and eventually hope to become a Health and Wellness coach.
(Not to mention a little company called Geeked Out Fitness).

20. What was the last healthy thing you did?
Took my dog Ripley on a long walk in our neighborhood. <3 p="">
